Jesus always reminded his disciples of the importance of words and of deeds. Each word or deed Jesus proclaimed will make a difference in the effectiveness of our witness for him.

We know in our own lives when someone shares words of encouragement, gratitude or praise it can make a person's day, and it can change their outlook on life in a moment. Take time tin these last few days of summer to give the gift of kind and caring words to someone you know needs them.

Equally important are those small deeds of kindness and love in the name of Jesus Christ that helps a person know how valued and precious they are to you and to God. Jesus lived his earthly life giving the words and deeds of love to others in the name of his heavenly father.
