The Administrative Council coordinates goals and programs for our church’s mission in accordance with the mission of the United Methodist Church. All other organizations of our church are amenable to the Administrative Council. The Administrative Council is amenable to the Annual Church Conference. Persons are nominated and elected for three year terms. Members of commissions and committees may succeed themselves once. The parentheses after a name indicates the final year of his or her term.

Evangelism and Membership Care Commission
Evangelism and Membership Care Commission provides opportunities for persons to commit themselves to be followers of Jesus Christ and members of his Church, to be received into the life and ministry of Liverpool First United Methodist Church. These persons will be supported and cared for during each stage of their spiritual journey. It is responsible for maintaining membership roles, Sunday morning coffee hour, hospitality to visitors, and planning activities that promote fellowship among members.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is responsible for establishing and managing our church budget, recording all income and reporting ongoing status of accounts to the Administrative Board, budgeted agencies and church members.

Lay Leadership Committee
Members are nominated from the floor of the Annual Church Conference or Charge Conference. By action of 1992 Annual Church Conference, three persons will be elected from those nominated, and those persons will serve for three years.

Outreach and Missions Commission
The Outreach and Missions Commission is responsible for promotion of outreach giving, as well as personal involvement and education about mission and outreach projects, needs and work both locally and globally.

Staff-Parish Relations Committee
The Staff-Parish Relations Committee is responsible for determining the staff needs of our church, recruiting and hiring staff to fill our needs, securing financial and personal support, providing opportunities for continuing education and training, and undertaking annual evaluations. The SPRC shall be composed of no more than nine persons and shall be elected in staggered three-year terms.

Stewardship & Income Enhancement
The Stewardship Committee is responsible for providing education for persons of every age regarding the use of our God-given resources of time, talent and finances. It provides for an annual stewardship program and other stewardship opportunities.

Trustees
The Trustees hold title to and manage the property, and are the legal agent for our church. The Trustees are amenable to the Administrative Board. No less than one third must be lay men and no less than one third must be lay women.

Worship Commission
The Worship Commission is responsible for providing worship opportunities to meet the needs of our worshiping community. It supervises our music ministry for all ages and provides for inventory and upkeep of all instruments.
