PRELUDE Mit Fried und Freud ich fahr dahin — Dietrich Buxtehude
CHORAL INTROITJoyfully Sing to God Forever arr. by Patrick M Liebergen
CALL TO WORSHIP
One: The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of all the earth.
Many: God does not faint or grow weary, God’s understanding is unsearchable.
One: God gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless.
Many: Even youths will faint and be weary, and the young will fall down.
One: But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength!
Many: They shall mount up with wings like eagles!
One: Let us rejoice this day in the Lord our God.
Many: Let us sing praise to the Lord our Maker!
A MODERN AFFIRMATION # 885
One: Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is the one true church, apostolic and universal, whose holy faith let us now declare:
Many: We believe in God the Father, infinite in wisdom, power, and love, whose mercy is over all his works, and whose will is ever directed to his children’s good. We believe in Jesus Christ Son of God and Son of man, the gift of the Father’s unfailing grace, the ground of our hope, and the promise of our deliverance from sin and death. We believe in the Holy Spirit as the divine presence in our lives, whereby we are kept in perpetual remembrance of the truth of Christ and find strength and help in time of need. We believe that this faith should manifest itself in the service of love as set forth in the example of our blessed Lord, to the end that the kingdom of God may come upon the earth. Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

HYMN #347 Spirit Song
WRITTEN WORD John 6:46–51
No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
QUESTIONS OF FAITH AND LIFE
• Have you ever felt empty inside your soul? What did you do to try to remedy that emptiness?
• Have you ever experienced the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ filling you to the full in your soul? How did you respond?
• Do you believe that every human being has a vacuum in their soul that only God can fill?
• Why do people shy away from allowing the Lord to fill their emptiness?
• What does it mean to have a personal relationship with Christ?

BENEDICTION RESPONSE Go Now In Peace by Don Besig
Go now in peace. Never be afraid. God will go with you each hour of every day. Go now in faith, steadfast, strong and true. Know He will guide you in all you do. Go now in love, and show you believe. Reach out to others so all the world can see. God will be there watching from above. Go now in peace, in faith, and in love.
