Revitalization Weekend: January 24–26
January 24–26 will be an important time in determining the future focus of the church, an effort in which we hope you will be involved — a Vital Congregations Consultation Weekend. A team from the Conference Vital Congregations office, led by the Rev. Dr. Aaron Bouwens, will come to listen, learn and make recommendations.
We heard many thoughtful comments and questions in the months since the Futures Team was formed. This weekend is the time to share those ideas again with the consulting team and the rest of the congregation. We will have more details as they develop. For now please block off these three days in your calendar and think about what you’ll want to share. Also, please add Revitalization Weekend to your prayers.
Other dates to remember:
January 13 at 6:30 pm — Pre-Consultation Meeting — Everyone is invited to ask questions of members of the Upper New York Annual Conference Vital Congregations team about the upcoming Consultation Weekend.
February 4 at 10:30 am and 6:30 pm, and February 9 at 10:30 am — Town Hall Meeting — an opportunity to discuss the findings from Consultation Weekend, and plans for the future.
March 1 at 10:45 am — Church Conference
