Hear Pas­tor Bob share his thoughts on grief and loss — tomor­row at 7:15

Pas­tor Bob Vizthum will present his find­ings on issues of
dying, death, loss and grief. He will share his expe­ri­ences as well as accu­mu­lat­ed under­stand­ing. He will also share the hope we have in God to get us through grief and find a “new nor­mal” for our lives. This Olive­branch pro­gram is open to every­one, and begins at 7:15 pm. Every­one wel­come to Christ­mas Lun­cheon and Syra­cuse Stage with Senior Min­istries

Friends of all ages are wel­come to a Christ­mas lun­cheon at
Phoe­be’s Restau­rant on Decem­ber 14 at 11:30 am. Syra­cuse Stage’s pro­duc­tion of Beau­ty & The Beast will fol­low at 2 pm. This event is open to all ages: $65 for seniors/adults

$55 for children/youth 18 yrs and younger

All checks/reservations must be
received by Octo­ber 31.

Liv­er­pool First UMC sup­ports the work of the Liv­er­pool Food Pantry at St. Joseph The Work­er Church. Dona­tions of non per­ish­able foods are accept­ed year-round, and deliv­ered to the pantry week­ly. Items may be left in the pur­ple bin locat­ed in the main cor­ri­dor. 

On Sun­days when we cel­e­brate Holy Com­mu­nion (gen­er­al­ly the first Sun­day of each month) in wor­ship, we offer a spe­cial invi­ta­tion to bring food dona­tions to the altar. Please plan to bring dona­tions next Sun­day, Novem­ber 3.

BIB col­lect­ing mac­a­roni & cheese cups

Any brand of ready-to-eat mac & cheese. We feed 200 chil­dren each week­end dur­ing the school year. For many chil­dren, food is their most impor­tant school sup­ply. Infor­ma­tion is at the col­lec­tion bin in the main cor­ri­dor.

Serve at the pota­to drop — Novem­ber 16

On Sat­ur­day Novem­ber 16, there is a pota­to drop sched­uled at the Upper New York Mis­sion Cen­tral HUB on Hen­ry Clay Blvd. Spon­sored by The Soci­ety of St. Andrew, the pota­to drop will pro­vide 21 tons of pota­toes to more than 50 food pantries, church­es, and oth­ers orga­ni­za­tions in need. Vol­un­teers are need­ed from 8 to 11 am to help load 50 lb bags of pota­toes into cus­tomer’s cars. If will­ing to help, even for part of the morn­ing, please con­tact Tom Pelkey at 315–559-3832 or

A sim­ple thank you, per­son­al note or card means a lot as would a meal, invi­ta­tion to lunch or din­ner, gift cer­tifi­cate, or even shar­ing a dessert with the Pas­tor and
some of your church friends.

Help your­self to a dai­ly devo­tion­al guide 

The Novem­ber-Decem­ber issue of the Upper Room is avail­able in large print or pock­et-size. Pick one up in the narthex or at the Infor­ma­tion Cen­ter in the cor­ri­dor. These are free, but dona­tions to cov­er their cost are wel­come.
