For chil­dren enter­ing kinder­garten-6th grade. Meets in the down­stairs Gath­er­ing Room.

7th-12th graders meet down­stairs in the Senior High room for LIFE

The ear­ly gath­er­ing for prayer and Holy Com­mu­nion in the chapel takes place at 8:45 am through­out August.

Sum­mer LIFE meets Sun­days at 10 am & Fri­days at 6 pm in August.

Bless­ings in a Back­pack is col­lect­ing fruit and grain bars this sum­mer

Bless­ings in a Back­pack is col­lect­ing fruit and grain bars for Sey­mour School. Any brand or fla­vor is great – just no nuts. We do this so we will be ready to feed 200 chil­dren each week­end dur­ing the school year. Hun­gry chil­dren need to do school­work and not be dis­tract­ed by a “rum­bling tum­my”. Thank you for con­tin­ued sup­port of this pro­gram. Infor­ma­tion is at the col­lec­tion bin in the church cor­ri­dor.

Olive­branch Women’s Group gath­er­ings begin Sep­tem­ber 23

Meet­ings: Sep­tem­ber 23, Octo­ber 28, Novem­ber 25, Decem­ber 16, Jan­u­ary 27, Feb­ru­ary 24, March 23, April 27, May 18, June 22

Olive­branch is open to all women. It meets one Mon­day a month, begin­ning at 5:30 pm with appe­tiz­ers fol­lowed by a light potluck or catered din­ner at 6 pm. There is a dif­fer­ent pro­gram every month from 7:15 to 8 pm. New and excit­ing pro­grams are being planned for this year. As soon as they are con­firmed, a pro­gram book­let will be dis­trib­uted. This year, Deb­bie Chriss­ley, Kay Phillips, Vick­ie Good­win, and Gin­ny Tilden are sched­ul­ing the pre­sen­ters.

More than 20 women divide into small groups to share din­ner respon­si­bil­i­ties each month. Cost for din­ner is $5. This con­tri­bu­tion is payable at the door.

Reser­va­tions are required the week before.

Senior Min­istries Update

We have 13 seats avail­able for a joint trip with Saint Joseph’s Seniors on Wednes­day, Sep­tem­ber 18.

Ride a motor coach to Elma to stop at the Made In Amer­i­ca Store fol­lowed by a buf­fet lunch at Hid­den Val­ley Ani­mal Adven­ture. After lunch we will take an hour-long Wild Game Safari Tour through the park, allow­ing up close inter­ac­tion with exot­ic ani­mals includ­ing camels, zebra, lla­ma, elk, bison, ostrich and more.

We depart from LFUMC at 8 am and return around 6:30 pm. Cost per per­son is $65.

Office Build­ing Man­ag­er

This requires approx­i­mate­ly 6–10 hours a week of
inspec­tions, main­tain­ing ten­ant rela­tions, han­dling sim­ple repairs such as light bulb replace­ment, and
attend­ing to com­mon bath­room upkeep. Michael Gloyd is cus­to­di­an. The man­ag­er works week­ly with the Trustees pres­i­dent. Trustees han­dle major repair issues, ven­dors, and billing. Peo­ple skills and sim­ple repair skills are a neces­si­ty. If you are inter­est­ed in try­ing out this vol­un­teer job, please speak to Sue Slenker.

200th Anniver­sary Cel­e­bra­tion

Cel­e­brat­ing the Past, Embrac­ing the Future

Our con­gre­ga­tion was formed in 1820.
Next fall we will cel­e­brate 200 years in Liv­er­pool!

Susan Slenker, church librar­i­an and his­to­ri­an, invites mem­bers of all com­mis­sions and com­mit­tees, and any oth­er inter­est­ed church mem­bers, to join the 200th Com­mit­tee.  
    A num­ber of peo­ple have expressed inter­est. Pre­lim­i­nary plan­ning with Gin­ny Tilden this sum­mer has led to an out­line of a year-long cel­e­bra­tion, where all main church events will car­ry a 200th anniver­sary logo, to empha­size this church’s ongo­ing his­to­ry.     First plan­ning meet­ing is ten­ta­tive­ly set for Tues­day, August 27, at 7 pm.

PEACE senior lun­cheon — Mon­days at noon

For seniors age 60 and old­er. Call PEACE at 315–470-3331 to reserve a meal. Sug­gest­ed con­tri­bu­tion, $3.50. Spous­es & guests under age 60 wel­come for sug­gest­ed $7. Menu for August 5 is bat­tered cod filet, baked pota­to, mixed veg­eta­bles, and vanil­la ice cream. Full menu at

There are pur­ple rib­bon cords on each rack for you to use should you wish.
