Join faith friends at a Syracuse Mets game

Tuesday, July 23, is United Methodist Church night at NBT Stadium as the Syracuse Mets take on the Indianapolis Indians. Join fellow Methodists from our church and other Central New York Methodist churches to cheer on the Mets and have a night of fun at the ballpark.

Events for the night include:

 • Starting at 4:45 pm, come to the tailgate party in the parking lot sponsored by the Crossroads District United Methodist Men. Bring a dish to pass, your own beverages and table service, and enjoy complimentary hot dogs and coneys provided by the UMM in exchange for donation of a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank of Central NY.

 • If you are interested, join in singing the National Anthem at home plate at 6:15 pm.

 • Game time is 6:35 pm. Watch as Pastor Brian Homan throws out the ceremonial first pitch! Say a silent prayer that he can get it over home plate.

Come, meet, and talk with Pastor Bob in a small informal setting in Memorial Lounge on July 24th or August 28 at 6:30 pm. Enjoy cookies and coffee provided by members of SPRC. Help serve a meal at Brown Memorial UMC

Outreach has volunteered to prepare and serve the Sunday dinner at Brown Memorial on 4 August. We’re planning a cookout and looking for your help. From buying hot dogs or baked beans, to cooking the ‘dogs’ on the grill (in the Brown Memorial parking lot) and serving people who may not see too many hot meals, you are encouraged to help and be a part of this mission. As those of you who have served at Brown in the past have learned, as well as those who made sandwiches for the Samaritan Center last Sunday, serving others is what we’re made to do. It’s evident by the smiles it brings to our faces. More details to come.

Volunteer with Youth Praise Band

We have 6 high school age members that want to have a Praise Band here at Liverpool First,  but they need an adult in the group with some musical knowledge.

If you have some musical talent, please consider helping these young people in their budding ministry.

Darlene Patton will attend practices and be responsible for the non-music part of praise band.

Please contact her at or Nancy B. James at

Or call the church at 315-457-5180.
