The Upper New York Conference is facilitating the pastoral transition process with these meetings. Through this process, a congregation receiving a new pastor is assigned a consultant to guide the pastors, church leaders, and congregation members involved in the transition.
The Rev. Bob Kolvik-Campbell from UMC in Sherrill is our pastoral transition consultant. In the meetings he will help pastors, leaders, and congregations be aware of the normal grieving process, help us say goodbye in a healthy way, and help us get off to a great start with a new relationship.
Our new pastor, Bob Vizthum, who arrives July 1 and gives his first sermon July 7, will be with us in the meetings.

Help feed the hungry on June 30: Prepare sandwiches for the Samaritan Center
Outreach is leading an effort to make sandwiches for those in need right here in Syracuse by making sandwiches for the Syracuse Samaritan Center. On June 30, after worship services, we plan on making up to 250 sandwiches to be delivered the next day to the Samaritan Center. We will do this in the church kitchen. All members of Liverpool First are encouraged to participate. Many hand make light work. More information will be forthcoming over the next few weeks and you can check the Outreach bulletin board. Let’s gather together to do God’s work

Volunteer with Youth Praise Band
We have 6 high school age members that want to have a Praise Band here at Liverpool First, but they need an adult in the group with some musical knowledge.
If you have some musical talent, please prayerfully consider helping these young people in their budding ministry.
I will continue to attend practices and will be responsible for the
non-music part of praise band.
You may contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or Nancy B. James at email@example.com.
Or call the church at 315–457-5180.
