The Out­reach & Mis­sions Com­mit­tee will sell hang­ing bas­kets and pots of annu­als includ­ing impa­tiens, gera­ni­ums, petu­nias, and more. Ready for Moth­er’s Day gifts or for your home Pro­ceeds will be used to fund mis­sion projects. Cash or checks are accept­ed.

Learn the His­to­ry of Nes­tle Choco­late at Olive­branch Wom­en’s Group Pro­gram & Meal: Mon­day, May 20 at 7:15 pm

Every­one is wel­come to this local his­to­ry pro­gram.

Women wish­ing to attend din­ner (appe­tiz­ers begin at 5:30 pm) should reserve a meal by  11 am on May 17 at 315–457-5180 or email ksmith@liverpoolfirstumc.org.

His­to­ri­an Jim Farfaglia will present his lat­est book, Nestlé in Ful­ton, New York: How Sweet It Was. He will share inter­views with for­mer Nestlé work­ers, research of the company’s one hun­dred years in Ful­ton, and his per­son­al reflec­tions of its endur­ing impor­tance to Cen­tral New York. The book cel­e­brates and hon­ors the work­ers of Nes­tle as he tells their sto­ry as they recall their work expe­ri­ences and the process of choco­late mak­ing. He has inter­est­ing media and arti­facts donat­ed by the for­mer employ­ees. There are plans being made to rec­og­nize the con­tin­u­ing love for Nes­tle with a muse­um in Ful­ton.

Bless­ings in a Back­pack is col­lect­ing chick­en noo­dle and veg­etable beef soups in ready-to-serve cans, any brand, dur­ing May. Liv­er­pool BIB pro­vides week­end food for qual­i­fy­ing stu­dents in Syra­cuse.

Gift bas­kets for seniorsare ready for deliv­ery.

Hos­pi­tal­i­ty Com­mit­tee mem­bers assem­bled them this week, and will coor­di­nate deliv­ery today. Please con­nect with them in Fel­low­ship Hall if you can help deliv­er them to  home­bound and nurs­ing home res­i­dent mem­bers.

The church Admin­is­tra­tive Coun­cil will meet at 7 pm on Tues­day, May 14, in the church Fel­low­ship Hall. All church mem­bers may attend to dis­cuss the pro­grams and plans of the church (only Coun­cil mem­bers may vote on res­o­lu­tions). Call 315–457-5180 for details.

Atten­dees should arrive at The Euclid Restau­rant on Route 31 in Clay for lunch at 11:30 am

The Town of Clay His­to­ri­an will speak from 12:30 to 1 pm about the his­to­ry of the area.

At 1 pm atten­dees will dri­ve one mile north to the Schroep­pel Man­sion for a pri­vate tour, tea, and dessert.

At 3 pm the Town of Schroep­pel His­to­ri­an will speak until 3:30 pm

The Euclid is about a 15 minute dri­ve from the vil­lage of Liv­er­pool via Mor­gan Road.

The Church Bus is avail­able for indi­vid­u­als need­ing trans­porta­tion to and from the restau­rant and B&B.

Checks (reser­va­tions) must be received by May 12.
