Senior Ministries plans 2019 events
Our 2018 events have come to a close. Check our table for pictures of recent events: Elf the Musical at Syracuse Stage and our Christmas luncheon. Copies of our 2019 schedule of events is on the table. Pricing will not be available until the end of January on most trips/events. The exception are the two overnight trips: Cape May is sold out but there is still space available on our trip to Lancaster.

What do United Methodists believe that makes us different from other churches? Would you like to learn more about how you can join the church and serve Christ? Beginning January 6 and continuing for 7 weeks, members and inquiring members may join Pastor Brian Homan to explore the United Methodist faith. The group will meet on Sundays from 12:30 to 2 pm. New Year’s devotional book available
Pastor Homan offers books authored by Stephen Skelton of Entertainment Ministries. Available at the information table in the main corridor: A Happy & Holy New Year provides a biblical model for celebrating. The Bible provides a precedent for how to celebrate the first day of the New Year. It also provides instructions for how to make resolutions for better living. Learn about God’s will for your New Year.
Tie knots with the Prayer Quilt Ministry
The Prayer Quilt Ministry needs volunteers to tie quilts together with square knots. They meet Tuesdays at 10 am. Contact Jean Jackson for details or call the church at 315-457-5180.
2019 Offering Envelopes available today in Fellowship Hall
After today’s service please stop in Fellowship Hall to pick up your box of 2019 offering envelopes. They are on a table next to the elevator door and are arranged in alphabetical order by last name. Sponsors are needed for Sunday Altar Flowers. Honor a loved one in recognition of birthdays, anniversaries, or other special events. Blessings in a Backpack feeds children
Liverpool chapter of BIB provides weekend food for 200 of the 672 qualifying students at Seymour School on Syracuse’s southwest side. Information is at the collection bin in the church hallway.
Family Ministries needs candy & snacks
Individually wrapped candy, fruit snacks, or mini packs of cookies or crackers may be left in the collection box.
Kitchen volunteer needed Mondays
Our church hosts a PEACE, Inc. meal for senior citizens. Volunteer would help serve and clear. Call the church at 315-457-5180.
Knit or crochet with Prayerful Threads
Knit or crochet scarves, hats and mittens for people in need, and blankets and sweaters for children. Join them the first and third Sundays of the month at 2 pm, or work on your own. Contact Paula L. through the church, 315-457-5180, for information.
