Advent Worship with Holy Communion
Wednesdays at 7 pm – December 5, 12, & 19
Join a time of peace and preparation for Christmas. Organist Bill Young and Rev. Candace Lawrence will lead traditional music and worship. Focus your hearts on the meaning of this holy season.
Tour Lights on the Lake on the Church Bus
View the display at Onondaga Lake Park with friends. Drivers from the Outreach & Missions team will take groups on Mondays throughout the season. Sign up in Fellowship Hall. For information, call the church at 315-457-5180.
Advent study begins Sunday, December 2
O. Henry wrote a short story entitled The Gift of the Magi that has inspired many. Pastor Brian Homan will lead a four-week study on the story from 3 to 4 pm on Sundays during Advent, beginning December 2.
Service of Remembrance, December 7
Clergy members from several Liverpool churches lead a memorial service at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church on Vine Street in Liverpool, this Friday at 7 pm. Sponsored by Maurer Funeral Home, it offers an opportunity to remember loved ones that have passed away. All are welcome.
Parents Time Out – December 8, 11 am
Parents, drop your children off at church and enjoy time to shop, wrap gifts, or relax. Children can make crafts, enjoy pizza, decorate cookies, and participate in games and stories led by our LIFE Youth Ministries group. Sign up downstairs or in Fellowship Hall so that we know how many to expect. Hosted by the Hospitality & Fellowship Team.
Chancel Choir Cantata – December 16
The choir will perform the cantata, God Came Near by Tom Fettke and Max Lucado on December 16 at the 9:30 & 11 am services. Guest musicians and congregation members will participate along with the choir.
Christmas Bake Sale – December 16
Please sign up to donate goodies for our annual bake sale (sold by the small or large box). We need many donations to be successful. See the sign up in Fellowship Hall for suggestions and to help.

Supplies needed for flood clean-up buckets
In the aftermath of hurricanes Florence & Michael, people need supplies to clean their homes. Outreach is collecting Flood Buckets. Information is in Fellowship Hall.

UMW collects Gifts for Baby Jesus
The United Methodist Women’s group is collecting baby items to give to the Teen MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) group that meets in our building. A list of items needed is posted on a collection box in the foyer. Donations will be collected throughout Advent, concluding on Christmas Day.
How good is your memory?
Have fun with church history. Pick up a handout of photos of the church and its activities from the past. See how many of the dates of the photos you can guess correctly. They are in a bin at the Information Center.
Bid on a Quilt for Christmas Giving
Silent auction: December 2-9. Quilt on display in hallway. Perfect for gift giving or personal use. Place your bid, name, and phone number on bid sheet located on hall table. Highest bidder will be notified after December 9. Quilting ministry will use money for supplies.
Blessings in a Backpack needs pudding cups
Liverpool chapter of BIB provides weekend food for 200 of the 672 qualifying students at Seymour School on Syracuse’s southwest side. Information is available at the collection basket in the church hallway.
Family Ministries needs candy & snacks
Individually wrapped candy, fruit snacks, or mini packs of cookies or crackers may be left in the collection box.
Weekly Study Through the Bible
Pastor Brian Homan leads a weekly study of scripture on Mondays at 1 pm.
Knit or crochet with Prayerful Threads
Knit or crochet scarves, hats and mittens for people in need, and blankets and sweaters for children. Join them the first and third Sundays of the month at 2 pm, or work on your own.
Come tie knots with the Prayer Quilt Ministry
The Prayer Quilt Ministry needs volunteers to tie quilts together with square knots. They meet Tuesdays from 10 am until noon. Contact the church at 315-457-5180.
