Live your faith through action: volunteer opportunities

Christian Education & Family MinistriesAssist a teacher or serve as a substitute for Sunday morning or Wednesday evening programs, help set up or clean up from events, direct games, serve snacks, lead songs, monitor hallways, or welcome new families.

Share your Song Wesley Bell Ringers, Alleluia Choir, Chancel Choir

Care for OthersVisit homebound and nursing home residents, prepare meals for those recovering from illness or surgery

Hospitality, Safety, & WelcomingGreet at entrances, usher during worship, serve coffee and refreshments

Lead in FaithAssist with worship, teach a short term Bible study for Advent or Lent, host a small group discussion.

 

FUN – FOOD – FELLOWSHIP SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 9

Join us to kick off
the school year. Invite first responders, their families, and members of other civic organizations to join you in
a service of 9/11 remembrance, followed by a social hour that will include make-your-own sandwiches. There will be games and other activities available for the entire family.

 

New small group for parents will meet monthly

For parents of infants, college students, and everyone in between. The group will gather for food, fellowship, and to support one another in parenting. Call Karen Gloyd at 315-457-5180 for details.

 

Wednesday evening worship begins September 19

A service of praise, prayer and the word will be offered at 7 pm in the sanctuary. The informal service will include popular hymns and contemporary praise songs. Pastor Homan will provide a teaching.

 

Senior Ministries plans for September 6th day trip

For those traveling to Cortland, arrive at church at 10 am for 10:30 am departure. We will return at 5:15 pm.

 

Worship brainstorm session, September 10, 5-7 pm
