Contributions needed for Pastor’s Discretionary Fund

Please consider supporting the fund that is used to assist people
in need, and to fund new ministry initiatives. Write: pastor’s discretionary fund on your offering check or giving envelope.


Volunteer needed to direct children’s choir

Spirit Singers Children’s Choir needs a director. If called to lead, contact Nancy B. James, Director of Music Ministries, 315-457-5180.


Bell ringers needed in Wesley Bell Choir

Ringers (adults and high school age) must have music reading ability and be able to attend Thursday rehearsals at 6 pm. The choir rings one Sunday per month in worship. Call the church at 315-457-5180 or speak to Director Becky Dunstone if interested.


Blessings in a Backpack collecting food and funds

The Liverpool chapter provides weekend food for qualifying students at Seymour School in Syracuse. Food collections are ongoing, but financial support is needed when food donations fall short. Considersponsoring a child for a year of hunger-free weekends ($100). Checks, made out to LFUMC, can be placed in the collection plate or dropped off at the office. BIB #1854 should be written in the memo line.

Volunteers needed for August 16 drive up BBQ

Sign up in Fellowship Hall to volunteer on August 15 & 16.
Reserve chicken at the information table in the main corridor.


Administrative Council Meeting – August 13 at 7 pm

All church members may attend; all committee chairs are expected. Only council members may vote, but all may join.


Senior Ministries plans for August 20 trip to Auburn

For those signed up (Sherman House Restaurant & Merry Go Round Theater), arrive at church at 9:45 am. Return at 5:30 pm.


Help support Teen MOPS with meals at their meetings
Prepare or purchase meals for the teen mothers of preschoolers that meet at our church.Work as an individual, a committee, with your pew buddies, or family/friends.If you don’t want to cook, they appreciate pizza and gift cards to purchase food. Sign up in Fellowship Hall, contact Kay Phillips, or call 315-457-5180.


School supplies needed; details at collection box

Brown Memorial UMC has requested our help in meeting the needs of Syracuse’s Westside neighborhood children for school supplies. A list of items and a drop-off box are in Fellowship Hall.
