Vera House Appeal — Sup­port efforts to end abuse

Vera House is a local non-prof­it orga­ni­za­tion that pro­vides ser­vices to vic­tims of domes­tic vio­lence and sex­u­al abuse and also offers relat­ed   edu­ca­tion and aware­ness pro­grams. Help by vol­un­teer­ing or pro­vid­ing fund­ing. Use a pew enve­lope and mark it Vera House; put your name  or enve­lope num­ber on it if you wish to have your dona­tion show on your church giv­ing state­ment for tax pur­pos­es. If using a check, make it out to LFUMC. Or, write Vera House next to the oth­er line if using your reg­u­lar num­bered offer­ing enve­lope.

The LIFE youth group is col­lect­ing items for Syra­cuse Teen Chal­lenge, a res­i­den­tial pro­gram that helps indi­vid­u­als with addic­tion recov­er through a rela­tion­ship with Jesus Christ. Need­ed: men’s toi­letries, bleach, laun­dry deter­gent, dish soap, toi­let paper, loose-leaf paper, spi­ral bound note­books. A col­lec­tion box is in the church cor­ri­dor,
near the Infor­ma­tion Cen­ter.

Senior Min­istries 2018 events are fill­ing up

Infor­ma­tion is in a binder on the Senior Min­istries table in Fel­low­ship Hall. These fill up quick­ly; to attend, don’t delay. Your check is your reser­va­tion; Sarah will hold seats for those from church with­out
pre­pay­ment if need­ed (call 315–695-6696, leave a note in the Senior Min­istries mail­box, or email sbieling@hotmail.com). Every­one attend­ing pro­grams must have a med­ical form on file. Bless­ings in a Back­pack is col­lect­ing break­fast bars dur­ing March and April. It is impor­tant that they do not con­tain nuts of any kind. Find store and brand sug­ges­tions at the col­lec­tion dis­play. Thank you for sup­port­ing hun­gry school chil­dren with this week­end meal pro­gram.
