Olivebranch & Blessings in a Backpack – January 22

Olivebranch Women’s Group will have speakers share how they became involved in the nationwide initiative, Blessings in a Backpack, and the impact they have made at Seymour school. Join us on January 22 for dinner ($5) at 5:30 pm or just the presentation at 7:15 pm – everyone is welcome. Call the church at 315-457-5180 by January 19 at 11 am to make dinner reservations.

Now collecting: macaroni & cheese

For January & February, Blessings in a Backpack is collecting single-serve microwaveable macaroni & cheese. Good prices are at Nichols & Aldi.

Mission Trip information meeting – today at 1 pm

Join a team of volunteers from Liverpool First UMC to travel to Kentucky during spring break, April 21-29, to serve people in
need in the mountains of rural Appalachia. People with all skills
are needed, ages 13 and older. Come to an information meeting today at 1 pm in the church Memorial Lounge to learn more.

Chicken & Biscuits served Saturday, January 27

Serving is 4 to 6 pm or sold out. Menu is chicken & gravy over buttermilk biscuit, vegetable, tossed salad, dessert, & beverage. Adults – $11. Ages 6-12 – $5. Children 5 & younger – FREE.
Take-outs available.

Memorial Service for Willie Clapp – January 21

We will celebrate the life of Willie Clapp in a memorial service on Sunday, January 21 at 1 pm. Willie was a long-time member who sang in the choir.

Delta Sonic Winter Car Care Coupons

If you purchased car care coupons already, remember that you have until February 6 to get $5 off each service. After that, you have until April 6 to use for $2 off. If you would like to keep your car less salty, we have coupons left to purchase.

Desk Available for Donation

A sturdy metal desk in good condition is available for a donation. Perfect for home office or kids’ homework. Contact Kate in the office (315-457-5180) during the week or Sue Slenker on Sundays. You must arrange to move.

Souper Bowl Sunday – February 4

Let’s make Super Bowl Sunday super for those in need this winter. Bring in cans of soup to help fill the shelves at the Liverpool Food Pantry between now and February 4.

Drive Thru History – Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.

Attend this video series to see the story of Jesus at more than 50 ancient sites as recorded in the Gospels. Come any week or every week. Dessert provided.

5 Cents Makes a Difference!

Please bring 5-cent returnable bottles & cans to church, or to MSK Returns on Rt. 57, where our LFUMC Youth account supports Christian Education and Family Ministry programs.

Our three Bible Studies, Through the Bible meet weekly. Join us Mondays at 1 pm, Wednesdays at 7 pm, and Sundays at 9:30 am
in the Conference Room.

Project Christina update

If you contributed to Project Christina in 2017 and you wish to use the donation as a write off on your income taxes, pick up a letter from Social Services on our table in Fellowship Hall. Please continue to bless unfortunate children with your gifts of stuffed toys, reuseable tote bags and books. The collection box is on the table.
