Fleece fabric requested for Christmas project
DELTA, the Wednesday night children’s program, requests fleece fabric (any design or color, at least 1 yard) for a holiday project. Please bring donations by December 17. A collection box is near the Welcome Desk. Thank you!
Help feed school children in need
Olivebranch has a new project to feed children: join with St. Paul’s Lutheran church in the “Blessings in a Backpack” program, to supply impoverished inner-city children with food for the weekend, when they often go without. Each month specific food items will be collected. Look for the information and a food collection container next to the purple food pantry barrel in the hallway.
Retirement celebration — December 31
Please join us in Fellowship Hall on December 31 after the 9:30 a.m. service for cake to honor Cathy Temple for her dedication to our family upon her retirement. There will only be one worship service that day at 9:30a.m.
2018 Offering Envelopes available
Please pick up your 2018 offering enveopes in Fellowship Hall today. They are arranged in alphabetical order by last name. If you leave by the front door, please remember to pick up your envelopes. Some of you will have new envelope numbers so we can reduce the number of boxes we order.
Christmas Eve Worship — December 24
Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year so we will offer only two morning services at 8:15 and 9:30 a.m. Evening services are at 5,7,9 and 11 p.m.
Christmas Bake Sale — Next Week
Sunday, December 17, is the Christmas bake sale, after all services. Donations of holiday cookies, pies, candies, muffins, small cakes, breads, coffee cakes, home-made jams, etc. are welcome. Small stocking stuffers are also needed. Pease sign up!
Building Heating Schedules Changing
The HVAC bill for the church building for a year is $25,000. Our goal is to reduce this by $3000. The Trustees are lowering daytime heat settings in many areas by 2 degrees to 70. Please come to church prepared with a sweater/jacket for meetings and services.
Gifts for Baby Jesus-collected through December 24
The UMW is collecting items for the Teen MOPS group who meet in our building. A list of items needed is posted on the box in the foyer. Donations are accepted through the holiday season and will conclude on Christmas Eve. We are also asking for toiletries for all ages.

Senior Fellowship Luncheon and Theater
Those attending the Phoebe’s luncheon and Syracuse Stage production of The Wizard of Oz on December 16 should arrive at Phoebe’s by 1:15 pm for buffet beginning at 1:30. There is limited street parking, a lot behind Phoebe’s, and a parking garage beside the lot.
