ORDER OF WORSHIP FOR SUNDAY

NOVEMBER 5, 2017

INTROIT    Thanks Be to God, Setting by Russell Schulz-Widmar

GREETING and QUESTIONS OF LIFE and FAITH

What does it mean to “fear” the Lord?

When have you been angry at God for allowing bad things to happen to you?

Did you feel God was responsible for bringing tragedy and sorrow on you or others?

Did you deserve the troubles you’ve seen?

PRELUDE  Give Thanks  Arr. By Anna Laura Page      Wesley Ringers

*OPENING PRAYER

Holy, Creating, Creative God, We sing from the depths of our sorrow. We sing from the abundance of our joy. We sing in voices separate and unique. We sing with one voice as your body. May the words of our mouths, whether in speech or song, and the meditations of our hearts, whether in word, song or deed be pleasing in your sight. Amen.
