Project Christina – toys for children

Purchase a stuffed toy at Kohl’s and tote bags for Onondaga County Social Services Foster Care Division. When children are removed from their home a toy is given to them. Please place them in the collection box in Fellowship Hall.

Pancakes are Coming – Sunday November 19

Our United Methodist Men are hosting their pancake breakfast on Sunday November 19 from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.  There is no fee for the breakfast, but please consider making a generous free-will offering to continue tuition payments for “Maxo” Lucserne, the Haitian student we sponsor. The menu includes pancakes, sausages, apple sauce and beverages.

Let us know if you need a meal

If you are recovering from an illness, surgery or injury you may

appreciate some home-cooked meals. Our volunteers provide meals to people facing such a need. If you would like to receive this assistance from church members, contact the church at 315-457-5180.

Fresh Donuts available on November 5

Fresh-made donuts will be available on November 5 from the Dinner/Fundraising Committee! Donations go toward our Advent Family Breakfast on Saturday, Dec. 2.

Knit or crochet with Prayerful Threads

Members of the Prayerful Threads group create handmade scarves, hats and mittens for people in need, as well as baby blankets and sweaters for children that are baptized in our church. Join them on the first and third Sundays of each month at 2 p.m., or work on your own at home and coordinate with group facilitator Paula Lamberson. Call the church at 315-457-5180 for information.

Jesus at the Sight & Sound Millennium Theater

Pennsylvania Amish Lands Trip – 3 days & 2 nights – April 13-15 2018 $369 pp double or $478 single. Package includes: 2 nights lodging with 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners including Shady Maple Smorgasbord. Guided tour of the Amish Countryside, with stops at an Amish Farm & Bake Shop, Kitchen Kettle Village, Lil’ County Store & Miniature Horse Farm. For this trip to happen, we need 50+ people attending. Food Pantry Donations 

& Communion Sundays

On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate Holy Communion. Please bring food donations to the altar rail before the service to support the Food Pantry at St. Joseph the Worker Church.
