Project Christi­na — toys for chil­dren

Pur­chase a stuffed toy at Kohl’s and tote bags for Ononda­ga Coun­ty Social Ser­vices Fos­ter Care Divi­sion. When chil­dren are removed from their home a toy is giv­en to them. Please place them in the col­lec­tion box in Fel­low­ship Hall.

Pan­cakes are Com­ing – Sun­day Novem­ber 19

Our Unit­ed Methodist Men are host­ing their pan­cake break­fast on Sun­day Novem­ber 19 from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. in Fel­low­ship Hall.  There is no fee for the break­fast, but please con­sid­er mak­ing a gen­er­ous free-will offer­ing to con­tin­ue tuition pay­ments for “Maxo” Luc­serne, the Hait­ian stu­dent we spon­sor. The menu includes pan­cakes, sausages, apple sauce and bev­er­ages.

If you are recov­er­ing from an ill­ness, surgery or injury you may

appre­ci­ate some home-cooked meals. Our vol­un­teers pro­vide meals to peo­ple fac­ing such a need. If you would like to receive this assis­tance from church mem­bers, con­tact the church at 315–457-5180.

Knit or cro­chet with Prayer­ful Threads

Mem­bers of the Prayer­ful Threads group cre­ate hand­made scarves, hats and mit­tens for peo­ple in need, as well as baby blan­kets and sweaters for chil­dren that are bap­tized in our church. Join them on the first and third Sun­days of each month at 2 p.m., or work on your own at home and coor­di­nate with group facil­i­ta­tor Paula Lam­ber­son. Penn­syl­va­nia Amish Lands Trip — 3 days & 2 nights — April 13–15 2018 $369 pp dou­ble or $478 sin­gle. Pack­age includes: 2 nights lodg­ing with 2 break­fasts and 2 din­ners includ­ing Shady Maple Smor­gas­bord. Guid­ed tour of the Amish Coun­try­side, with stops at an Amish Farm & Bake Shop, Kitchen Ket­tle Vil­lage, Lil’ Coun­ty Store & Minia­ture Horse Farm. Food Pantry Dona­tions 

& Com­mu­nion Sun­days

On the first Sun­day of each month we cel­e­brate Holy Com­mu­nion. Please bring food dona­tions to the altar rail before the ser­vice to sup­port the Food Pantry at St. Joseph the Work­er Church.
