DELTA parent orientation — Wednesday

Disaster preparedness training
UMCOR has a training program which prepares people to work in disaster sites such as Texas and Florida, as well as in our own communities. LIFE Youth Group needs decorations
LIFE is putting on an Egyptian Plague-themed haunted house on October 27 and needs your old Halloween Decorations. Crepe paper streamers, black table plastic table cloths, plastic bugs, frogs, spiders, Styrofoam peanuts, large pieces of cardboard and paper bags. Donations can be given to any member of LIFE.

The Greater Syracuse CROP Hunger Walk will take place on Sunday, October 22, 2017
Women’s Breakfast: Sat., Oct. 14, 9 – 11 a.m.
All women are invited for food, (think baked maple French toast, homemade lemon blueberry muffins and more), conversation and insight into Rebekah. Pastor Penny will facilitate. To register sign below, tear off and place in the collection plate.
December 16: lunch at Phoebe’s followed by Syracuse Stage’s production of The Wizard of Oz. Buffet includes Caesar salad, broccoli, bacon, mushroom & swiss quiche, classic Alfredo, chicken Marsala, top round of beef with horseradish sauce, cookies & brownies & beverage. Syracuse stage’s performance of The Wizard of Oz. $50 per person. All ages invited to attend. Your own transportation is required but car pooling can be arranged. Information is in Fellowship Hall.
Project Christina — toys for children
Purchase a stuffed toy at Kohl’s and tote bags for Onondaga County Social Services Foster Care Division. When children are removed from their home a toy is given to them. Please place them in the collection box in Fellowship Hall.
Sign up to feed Teen MOPS
We provide meals for Teen MOPS meetings. This faith-based group hosts teen mothers for fellowship and support. About 25 participants and leaders share a meal at their Tuesday meetings. Sign up in Fellowship Hall if you can help. Partner with friends to share the workload. For information contact Kay Phillips at 315–451-6619.
A recital by the Voice Faculty of SUNY Oswego will be presented today, Sept. 24, at 3 p.m. in Tyler Hall on the campus featuring Nancy B. James, Robert Allen and Todd Graber, and pianist Mihoko Tsutnumi offering popular classical pieces. Admission is free.
Church Conference October 8 at 12:30 p.m.
District Superintendent, Rev. Nola Anderson, will be at our church to conduct the annual business meeting. All church members are invited to attend this meeting.
