DELTA par­ent ori­en­ta­tion — Wednes­day

Chil­dren in grades 1 — 6 are encour­aged to par­tic­i­pate in a Wednes­day evening Chris­t­ian Club called DELTA (Dis­ci­ples Equipped for Life Trans­for­ma­tion and Action), begin­ning Octo­ber 2 at 6:30 p.m. Par­ents are invit­ed to an ori­en­ta­tion this Wednes­day, Sep­tem­ber 27, at 6:45 p.m. Con­tact Karen Gloyd at LiverpoolFirstUMC@gmail.com or at 315–457-5180 to reg­is­ter your child or for infor­ma­tion.

Dis­as­ter pre­pared­ness train­ing

UMCOR has a train­ing pro­gram which pre­pares peo­ple to work in dis­as­ter sites such as Texas and Flori­da, as well as in our own com­mu­ni­ties. LIFE Youth Group needs dec­o­ra­tions 

LIFE is putting on an Egypt­ian Plague-themed haunt­ed house on Octo­ber 27 and needs your old Hal­loween Dec­o­ra­tions. Crepe paper stream­ers, black table plas­tic table cloths, plas­tic bugs, frogs, spi­ders, Sty­ro­foam peanuts, large pieces of card­board and paper bags. Dona­tions can be giv­en to any mem­ber of LIFE.

Women’s Break­fast: Sat., Oct. 14, 9 – 11 a.m.

All women are invit­ed for food, (think baked maple French toast, home­made lemon blue­ber­ry muffins and more), con­ver­sa­tion and insight into Rebekah. Pas­tor Pen­ny will facil­i­tate. To reg­is­ter sign below, tear off and place in the col­lec­tion plate.

Decem­ber 16: lunch at Phoebe’s fol­lowed by Syra­cuse Stage’s pro­duc­tion of The Wiz­ard of Oz. Buf­fet  includes Cae­sar sal­ad, broc­coli, bacon, mush­room & swiss quiche, clas­sic Alfre­do, chick­en Marsala, top round of beef with horse­rad­ish sauce, cook­ies & brown­ies & bev­er­age. Syra­cuse stage’s per­for­mance of The Wiz­ard of Oz. $50 per per­son. All ages invit­ed to attend. Your own trans­porta­tion is required but car pool­ing can be arranged. Infor­ma­tion is in Fel­low­ship Hall.

Project Christi­na — toys for chil­dren

Pur­chase a stuffed toy at Kohl’s and tote bags for Ononda­ga Coun­ty Social Ser­vices Fos­ter Care Divi­sion. When chil­dren are removed from their home a toy is giv­en to them. Please place them in the col­lec­tion box in Fel­low­ship Hall.

Sign up to feed Teen MOPS

We pro­vide meals for Teen MOPS meet­ings. This faith-based group hosts teen moth­ers for fel­low­ship and sup­port. About 25 par­tic­i­pants and lead­ers share a meal at their Tues­day meet­ings. “Vocal Array”

A recital by the Voice Fac­ul­ty of SUNY Oswego will be pre­sent­ed today, Sept. 24, at 3 p.m. in Tyler Hall on the cam­pus fea­tur­ing Nan­cy B. James, Robert Allen and Todd Graber, and pianist Mihoko Tsut­n­u­mi offer­ing pop­u­lar clas­si­cal pieces. Admis­sion is free.

Church Con­fer­ence Octo­ber 8 at 12:30 p.m. 

Dis­trict Super­in­ten­dent, Rev. Nola Ander­son, will be at our church to con­duct the annu­al busi­ness meet­ing. All church mem­bers are invit­ed to attend this meet­ing. Unlike a charge con­fer­ence, all church mem­bers may vote dur­ing a church con­fer­ence. Learn more about your church in this meet­ing that sets the course of the church for the year ahead.
