Summer Worship Times
Our summer schedule features two services:
• Prayer & communion at 8:15 a.m. in the chapel
• Traditional worship at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary
9:30 a.m. Summer Sunday School
• Nursery care for infants
• 3 & 4 year olds meet in 3 yr. class room
• K‑6th grades meet in 3rd & 4th grade classroom
• 7–12 grades meet in Memorial Lounge
Women’s Friday Morning Bible Study
A women’s Bible study meets at Donna Greene’s home, 8475 Big Cone Path, Fridays at 10 a.m. Call 315–652-5410 for directions.
5 Cents Makes a Difference!
As you pick up from picnics and parties, consider bringing the 5‑cent returnable bottles and cans to either the church, or MSK Returns on Rt. 57 near Wetzel Rd. Our account there supports Christian Education programs.
Senior Ministries events
For those attending the August 26 trip to Cooperstown, please arrive at LFUMC at 7:15 a.m. The bus arrives at 7:30 a.m. for departure at 8 a.m. sharp.
Our last open event of the year is December 16. Meet for lunch at Phoebe’s at 1:30 p.m. followed by Syracuse Stage’s production of The Wizard of Oz at 3 p.m. Space is limited to 72 and we are half way there. If you would like to attend don’t delay. Cost is $50 per person. Information flyer is in Fellowship Hall.
Project Christina — toys for children
Purchase a $5 stuffed toy at Kohl’s and child-friendly tote bags for Onondaga County Social Services Foster Care Division. When children are removed from their home a toy is given to them. Please place them in the collection box in Fellowship Hall.

Join a District Conversation — September 7
Members and friends of Liverpool First are encouraged to attend a Crossroads District Laity Session on September 7 at the United Methodist Conference Center, 7481 Henry Clay Blvd., Liverpool, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. This opportunity to converse with pastors and lay people from across central New York will address Courageous Conversation: discussing challenging topics.
New Member Care ministry forming
Join a team to provide meals for those recuperating from surgery or illness. Diane and Tom Pelkey coordinate this ministry. Contact the church at 315–457-5180 if you would like to provide meals.
Join a choir
If you wish to share music with our congregation through a choir, contact Nancy B. James, Director of Music Ministries or call the church at 315–457-5180.
Chancel Choir (adults) rehearses Thursdays 7–8:30 p.m., and Sundays at 9 a.m., singing at the 9:30 & 11 services.
Wesley Bell Ringers (teens & adults) rehearses Thursdays 6–7 p.m., and plays once a month in both services.
Alleluia Choir (Junior & Senior High ages) rehearsals TBA, sing in both services once a month.
Spirit Singers (youth) rehearses Sundays 10:40–11 a.m. and performs in both services when they are ready.
