Summer Worship Times
Our summer schedule features two services, prayer & communion at 8:15 a.m. in the chapel & a traditional 9:30 a.m. service in the sanctuary.
9:30 a.m. Summer Sunday School
• Nursery care available
• 3 & 4 year olds meet in 3 yr. class room
• K‑6th grades meet in 3rd & 4th grade classroom
• 7–12 grades meet in Memorial Lounge
On the first Sunday of every month we celebrate Holy Communion. We ask that dry and canned food donations be brought to the altar rail before the service to support the Food Pantry at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Please join us in this service of compassion.
Member Care ministry
We are creating a team to provide meals for those recuperating from surgical procedures or convalescing. Diane and Tom Pelkey will coordinate this ministry. Please let the church office know at 315.457.5180 if you would like to help.
If you feel called to share your musical gifts with our congregation through one of the groups listed below, for more information please see Nancy B. James, Director of Music Ministries or call the church office at 315.457.5180.
Chancel Choir (for age 18+), rehearses Thursday nights 7–8:30 p.m., and Sunday mornings at 9 a.m., singing at both the 9:30 & 11 services.
Wesley Bell Ringers (teens & adults), rehearses Thursday nights from 6–7 p.m., and play once a month in both services.
Alleluia Choir (Junior and Senior High ages), rehearsals TBA, sing in both services once a month.
Spirit Singers, (youth), rehearses Sunday mornings 10:40–11 a.m. and performs in both services when they are ready.

Master’s Touch Chorale — Oct. 8
Reserve Sunday, October 8, at 6 p.m. for a special concert by The Master’s Touch Chorale at LFUMC. Details will be provided in the next issue of All of Us.
Women’s Bible Study Breakfast
Saturday, October 14, 9 — 11 a.m.
The study will focus on Rebekah from the Book of Genesis.
Women’s Friday Morning Bible Study
The women’s Friday 10 a.m. Bible study meets at Donna Greene’s home (315–652-5410) in Pinegate South, 8475 Big Cone Path.
5 Cents Makes a Difference!
As you pick up from summer picnics and parties, consider bringing your 5‑cent returnable bottles and cans to either the church, or MSK Returns on Rt. 57 near Wetzel Rd. We have an account there, and money earned supports Christian Education programs.
Senior Ministries event:
Saturday, December 16, lunch at Phoebe’s from 1:30–2:30 p.m.; 3 p.m. performance of The Wizard of Oz at Syracuse Stage — $50 per person.
Project Christina — toys for children
Purchase a $5 stuffed toy at Kohl’s and child-friendly tote bags for Onondaga County Social Services Foster Care Division. When children are removed from their home a toy is given to them to help ease their pain. There is a red collection box in Fellowship Hall.
Explore the Bible in 52 weeks
Pastor Brian Homan is leading a journey through the Bible each Sunday at 11 a.m. and Wednesday at 7 p.m. Call 315–457-5810 for details or come any time.
Flowers for the Altar
After Sunday September 3 we do not have altar flowers until October 15. If you would like to honor someone for any dates between then please contact Cathy Temple at 315–457-5180.
