Building Pledge detail
The stewardship campaign for the fiscal year begining on July 1st resulted in generous pledges from our members. We regrettably missed your opportunity to specify a division between the church’s operating budget and the building fund. Some wrote that on the pledge card, but many did not. If you did not make that distinction on your pledge card, but wish to do so, please call Cathy Temple at the church office ( 315–457-5180 ) on Monday, Wednesday or Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. If you did not specify a division of your giving we will direct your pledge to the regular budget. If you wish to have a portion of your offerings go to the Building Fund the Finance Committee recommends 20% of your total donation. Thank you again for your generosity.

Project Christina — toys for children
Want to help a child in crisis? Purchase a $5 stuffed toy from Kohl’s (proceeds benefit Golisano’s Children’s Hospital), and the toy is given to the Onondaga County Social Services Foster Care Division. When children are removed from their home a toy is given to them to help ease their pain. We also accept new stuffed toys purchased elsewhere, books, and child-friendly tote bags. There is a red collection box in Fellowship Hall.
Be a Good Steward
The Trustees have done many things to manage our finances. We have energy-efficient lighting, insulation, and HVAC systems. Our National Grid bill is large in spite of it. Do your part by turning off lights when you leave. If your group is the last one out of the building, turn off hall, elevator, and lobby lights. As a safety issue, go as a team to check for lights left on. Some areas are locked when not in use. Report issues to the Church Office. We must all pitch in to care for God’s House.
June BBQ a Success!
Many thanks from the Dinner/Fundraising Committee to the volunteers and members who turned out to prepare, serve, and purchase our BBQ chicken on June 3–4. Together we raised $2000 toward the ministries of our church! The weather was perfect, but the record-setting “Taste of Syracuse”cut into our crowd. We are happy to report that the small number of chicken and coleslaw left were delivered to the Samaritan Center for Monday’s evening meal!

The “Delta Deal” is “buy one, get one free”. These are upgradable for other services. They are good until August 7 at any Delta Sonic in New York State and Illinois. (afterward, $2 off until October 7.) Information and sales at the table in Fellowship Hall!
