Explore the Bible in 52 weeks
Beginning May 28, Pastor Brian Homan will lead a journey through the Bible each Sunday from Genesis through Revelation. He will explore major themes from each book of the Bible to help everyone get better acquainted with the scriptures we use to form our faith. People new to the faith and those long established as followers of Christ struggle with knowing and using the Bible. This format will help everyone make better use of the gift of God’s Word.
Gather for exercise and fellowship
Liverpool First will offer a walking, hiking and cycling ministry this summer. Walkers may gather in Onondaga Lake Park, Green Lakes State Park, Beaver Lake Nature Center, and the trails in Radisson. For those who like to bicycle, The United Methodist Circuit Riders will host two weekly rides: one an easy family ride; the other a challenging ride for enthusiasts. Improve your fitness during these opportunities for fellowship and prayer. Of course the health benefits are dependent upon whether we stop to enjoy ice cream. Better to exercise and indulge than to indulge without exercise! If you are interested in participating, please contact the church office at 315–457-5180 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
On the first Sunday of every month we celebrate Holy Communion at Liverpool First UMC. We ask that dry and canned food donations be brought to the altar rail before each service in support of the Food Pantry housed at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Liverpool. We will do this every communion Sunday. I hope you will join us in this service of compassion.
