GREETING AND APOSTLE’S CREED No. 881

QUESTIONS OF LIFE AND FAITH

How can we claim Jesus died for us?

Are we truly saved from our sin by His death?

Why is faith in Jesus’ resurrection necessary?

CHORAL INTROIT                             Let Us Rejoice — John Yarrington               Chancel Choir

CALL TO WORSHIP

One: No longer strangers, we shall be God’s friends.

All: No longer separated, we are brothers and sisters in Christ.

One: No walls between us, but windows and doors to intimacy.

All: From a far distance, we come to the heart of friendship and the mind of

forgiveness.

One: We are part of the family of God.

All: Members of the household where freedom and belonging are found.

UNISON PRAYER

O God, draw us close to you in this hour and never let us go. May we discover and cast away all that might distract and separate us from the love you have for us. Take us from the shadows of death, from guilt, fear, and worry to live and sing the resurrection song of abundant and lasting life. We need this as much as we desperately need you each day. Amen.
