CALL TO WORSHIP

One:   We worship today in the presence of the God beyond knowing;

All:     Yet whom we know.

One:   We worship God who is beyond understanding;

All:     Yet who understands us.

One:   We worship God whose thoughts are not our thoughts;

All:     Whose ways are not our ways;

One:    In the presence of the Unknowing and the Knowing, the Incomprehensible

and the Comprehending,

All:     We worship with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. Let us worship God!

*HYMN No. 103                    Immortal, Invisible, God only Wise

UNISON PRAYER

Lord, you are immortal, you are invisible, In light inaccessible, hid from our eyes. At times we wish we could see you more clearly, that we didn’t have to rely so much on the unseen and the unheard. We long for the day we can see you face to face. Until that time, Lord, teach us to trust. Amen.
