GREETING & QUESTIONS OF LIFE & FAITH
How do you rise above and keep joy when facing difficulty and challenge?
What has “saved” you during hardship?
When has God used your response to difficulty to open the way to bless others?
PRELUDE Please be in silent reflection as we prepare ourselves for worship.

CHORAL INTROIT O Be Joyful - John Yarrington Chancel Choir
CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 91)
One: Those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
All: They will say of the Lord, “God is my refuge and fortress, the one in whom we trust.”
One: Those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the refuge of God’s wings.
All: They will not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day.
One: “Those who love me, I will deliver,” says the Lord.
All: O Lord, we call to you now. Show us your salvation.

OUR COMMON PRAYER (unison) (Jeremiah 32, Psalm 91)
God our Redeemer, you promise deliverance to those who love you. Draw unto us as we draw unto you in worship. Open our eyes to see, our ears to hear, our minds to comprehend, and our spirits to encounter the revelation you have for us this day. Transform us with the truth of your love and grace,in the name of the one who loved us and gave his life for us. Amen.

We give thanks for all that God has already given you and welcome you into our church family. As members together with you in the body of Christ we renew our covenant to live according to the example of Christ. We will surround you with love and forgiveness so your faith will be encouraged and nurtured. We will pray for you and through our service with you in the church will assist you in raising Owen in the faith of Jesus Christ.
