Why can’t we just enjoy a private faith without the pressure of involvement of church?

PRELUDE   Please be in silent reflection as we prepare ourselves for worship.

OUR COMMON PRAYER (unison)

Holy God, who brings wholeness to our fractured lives, draw close to us in this hour of worship. Teach us and lead us forever and everywhere to be on fire with songs of gratitude, words of witness, prayers of compassion, deeds of justice, and acts of kindness. Holy God, the One who makes us whole and holy, draw close to us and fill us with the

Spirit of your Son. Amen!

PRAYER

Lord, we know your will for us, that we should love one another as you have loved us. Help us make time and give effort to knowing one another and to truly care for one another. We affirm that while there are many gifts the greatest we can give is our time. Take us from singing wonderful intentions to living them out as a community, and as we desire ourselves to be cared for may we be moved to be caregivers of those near to us. May we heed your call to serve one another in your love for in so doing we might discover that we ourselves are loved. May our church be known in our community for not just being a church with purple doors, but a spiritual home where love is shared and all may find your embrace and care. Amen!
