Support foster children through Project Christina
For those of you who have purchased stuffed toys for “Project Christina,” thank you. The need is increasing because there are consistent numbers of children that are removed from their home weekly and bigger sibling groups involved. Social workers use the toys to calm the children during the interview process which is extremely traumatic. You can be assured that your generous heart is making a difference.

Each month participants register at St Matthew’s Episcopal Church at 900 Vine St. The cost is $15.50 to be prepaid in cash or food stamps. Please see Kay Phillips in Fellowship Hall today for information or call Amy Thackston at 652‑5990.
We are all ministers — sign up to volunteer
It takes people doing what they can to meet the needs of people in the church and in the community. Everyone has something to offer. Please complete the SERVICE and INTEREST SURVEY you received in last week’s bulletin; you may also pick one up at the Welcome Desk.
Summer Sunday School program
Starting today our informal Sunday School session begins for children currently in kindergarten — sixth grade. Children are asked to sign-in and out in the Gathering Room downstairs and begin at 9:30 a.m. We will have fun inside and outside for 9 weeks as we learn about the Fruit of the Spirit! There will be NO class on July 3 or September 4. Child care will be available for infants through Pre‑K in the nursery throughout the summer. If you have questions or would like to volunteer to assist, call Karen Gloyd at 457‑5180.
Support Family First Fitness by donating snacks
The Outreach Commission would like you to join them in support of the Family First Fitness Foundation. This initiative is to bring fitness and healthy lifestyles to our community’s poor. Exercise and nutrition classes are held at the Rescue Mission’s chapel building and are solely funded by a caring and enthusiastic young LeMoyne graduate. We are supporting and encouraging this program by collecting bottled water and healthy snacks (granola or cereal bars, packages of crackers, nuts, raisins, even bags of fruit). A collection box is in the back foyer. Thank you for your consideration.
Have you completed your estimate of giving card?
Funding our ministries and programs requires our being able to estimate the financial resources available. Pledge cards and information on EFT giving are available at the Welcome Desk in the hallway outside the Fellowship Hall.
Join us in the garden for Friday worship
Several of our members got down on hands and knees and cleaned out the flower garden in the back yard. We thank them and invite everyone to join us FRIDAY EVENINGS from 7 to 7:45 p.m. for a weekly outdoor service on the lawn. Bring your own lawn chairs or blanket, and if you are able a refreshment to share as we sing songs old and new, pray and read God’s Word. The GARDEN SERVICE will replace the gathering for the summer.
