It’s time for the concerts in Johnson Park, and our church has commited to make popcorn and sell drinks on Wednesday, June 22, Monday, July 11, and Monday, Aug. 8. Please sign up in Fellowship Hall if you could help and enjoy the music with our neighbors.
Assist at Matthew 25 farm this summer
There are many jobs that need to be done on the farm: helping in the fields to plant seeds; fix our broken equipment; and to care and advocate. Call 315–558-2212 for information. Food grown at Matthew 25 is given to people in need.
Help needed at St. Joseph the Worker Food Pantry
Thank you for donations to the Food Pantry — they are appreciated and can be placed in the bin in the hallway. Items needed are non-perishable foods, toiletries (soaps, lotions, deodorant, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.); and cleaning supplies. Volunteers are needed to unload and sort large deliveries on the first Tuesday and second Thursday of each month. If you can lend a hand, please contact Jennifer Woodburn of the St. Joseph’s the Worker Food Pantry at 457‑6060.
Chicken BBQ thanks
Thank you to everyone that volunteered and attened this year’s Chicken Barbecue. Preliminary profit is $2200. Watch the bulletin for information about Thursday evening take-out barbecues in July and August.
Pancakes are coming — Sunday, June 26
On June 26 the Liverpool United Methodist Men will serve breakfast from 8:30 — 11 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. A free-will offering will be collected to help fund the UMM’s tuition assistance for “Maxo” Lucserne, a Haitian student. Menu includes pancakes, sausages, apple sauce and beverages.
Videos of Pastor Alison’s messages available
Two new videos are available in the Information Center in the Main Hallway. One is a recording of the 9:30 a.m. worship service on May 29th, including Alison’s sermon “As One Under Authority.” The second is “Alison’s Best 2016 Children’s Moments” — a compendium of 10 of her Children’s Moments. If your child missed one of them, or even for our older members who are young at heart and would like to hear her short messages, these DVDs are for you.
You’re invited to PEACE Inc. senior luncheons
Our church hosts a PEACE Senior Citizens luncheon every Monday at noon. The menu for the month is found at www.peace-caa.org. Please consider trying the luncheon and encourage your friends to come too. Call 470‑3331 to reserve a meal.
Sign up for VBS Sports Camp: July 11–15
Register for Vacation Bible School Mega Sports Camp, which takes place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. July 11 — 15. Free dinner is served for campers and their families at 5 p.m. each evening. Choose basketball, soccer or cheerleading. Sign up at the church Information Desk. Contact Karen Gloyd at church, 457‑5180, for information. Register by June 20 and receive a gift.
Try our hearing enhancement devices
If you’d like to try a new sanctuary hearing enhancement device, ask an usher to assist you in finding the best one to make your worship experience one you can enjoy more fully.
Would you like to be an usher or greeter ?
We are blessed to have new visitors and members in the Liverpool family, and we are expanding our list of greeters and ushers to serve at worship on a rotational basis. We invite you to take a turn. The jobs will not take you away from your family as you worship together. Please call the office at 315–457-5180 if you would be interested in serving in this capacity.
Collect returnable bottles, support youth ministry
We collect returnable bottles and cans to support the youth ministries at Liverpool First UMC. Leave them at church, or bring them directly to MSK Bottle return on Rt. 57 and ask them to apply the return to the Liverpool Methodist Youth account.
Purchase Delta Sonic BOGO coupons
By popular demand, and just in time for summer, Father’s Day, or as a gift, the Dinner/Fundraising Committee is selling $5 coupons toward Delta Sonic car washes and services. The “Delta Deal” is “Buy One, Get One free”. There are a limited number, and these coupons are good for June and July at any Delta Sonic. See the posters and the table in Fellowship Hall for sales and information.
Support foster children through Project Christina
For those of you who have purchased stuffed toys for “Project Christina,” thank you. The need is increasing because there are consistent numbers of children that are removed form their home weekly and bigger sibling groups involved. Social workers are now using these toys to calm the children during the interview process which is extremely traumatic. You can be assured that your generous heart is making a difference.

We are all ministers — sign up to volunteer
