White Ribbon Campaign for Vera House
Please support Vera House, a local non-profit organization that seeks to end domestic and sexual violence and abuse, provides services to the victims, educates our community about these terrible acts, and attempts to change abusive behaviors. You may use the special envelopes found in the pew racks, marked V.H. (for Vera House), and please consider a generous donation to this important cause.
Logen Hustedt has autism and requires a guide dog to keep him safe and to help him learn. Logen is the son of Steve Hustedt, director of communications for Upper New York UMC, and their family attends Liverpool First. To raise the funds required to purchase and provide training an autism dog and training for the family, they are collecting used shoes to be recycled. The United Methodist Men are supporting this mission by collecting shoes. During March, please bring used shoes to church.

Red Bird Mission Trip matching funds
Our Red Bird Mission Trip to Beverly, KY has 19 members and friends of LFUMC going to help people in one of the poorest counties in the nation. The trip costs approximately $550 per person. We are fortunate to have two anonymous donors who will match up to $1000 provided by LFUMC members and friends. In addition to your prayers, please consider giving to the fund raising effort, knowing that for every dollar you give, these donors will donate another dollar. Just identify your check or cash for “Red Bird Matching Funds”. Everyone who donates at least $200 will receive a hand crafted Adirondack Chair or 6 ft. picnic table, and the first 20 people who donate $25 will receive a pair of hand knit socks. Help us, and Red Bird Mission bring the love of Christ to these wonderful people.
