GREETING

Has your faith in Jesus transformed your life?

How would your life be different if you didn’t follow Jesus?

What does having Jesus at the center of life look like?

Please be in SILENT reflection as we prepare ourselves for worship.

PRELUDE                     Christe, qui es lux et dies — Samuel Scheidt

CHORAL  INTROIT                      Let Your Light So Shine - John Yarrington

CALL TO WORSHIP (responsively)

ONE:    Let us worship the God who has come to us. God has come as a pillar of cloud     and fire. God has come as a rock and a wheel. God has come as a child and

a dying man. God has come as a Light to all the nations.

ALL:    We worship an awesome God who does not hide upon a mountain, but     has come low enough to be experienced in the transformation of our

      lives

ONE:    Because of the hope we have in Jesus, we gather to worship with great     boldness, without artificial separations keeping us from God.

ALL:    Whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil of separation is taken away.

One:     As we see God’s glory, we are transformed into the image of the one we     worship, changed from one degree of glory into another.

ALL:    What we were before is gone. What we can become only God knows.

OUR COMMON PRAYER (unison)

Eternal God, on a mountaintop long ago you revealed Jesus’ everlasting glory to some of his first disciples. Grant us, who have not seen and yet believe, the gift of your Holy Spirit, that we may boldly live lives that become the gospel, shining with your transforming glory, as people changed and changing through the redeeming presence of our Lord.  Amen.
