CALL TO WORSHIP (responsively)
ONE: Let us worship the God who has come to us. God has come as a pillar of cloud and fire. God has come as a rock and a wheel. God has come as a child and
a dying man. God has come as a Light to all the nations.
ALL: We worship an awesome God who does not hide upon a mountain, but has come low enough to be experienced in the transformation of our
ONE: Because of the hope we have in Jesus, we gather to worship with great boldness, without artificial separations keeping us from God.
ALL: Whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil of separation is taken away.
One: As we see God’s glory, we are transformed into the image of the one we worship, changed from one degree of glory into another.
ALL: What we were before is gone. What we can become only God knows.

Eternal God, on a mountaintop long ago you revealed Jesus’ everlasting glory to some of his first disciples. Grant us, who have not seen and yet believe, the gift of your Holy Spirit, that we may boldly live lives that become the gospel, shining with your transforming glory, as people changed and changing through the redeeming presence of our Lord. Amen.
