Women’s Bible Study — The Battle Plan for Prayer

Develop a deeper walk with God as you seek the Lord. The Battle Plan for Prayer equips believers to create their own prayer strategy and be specific and strategic in prayer. This 8‑week study is on Sundays from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. starting today, meeting in the Junior High Class Room downstairs, and is led by Alison Mapes. Child care is provided every week!  E‑mail Alison at mapesfam506@yahoo.com to register.

          Souper Bowl of Caring

You are challenged to bring soup (or other canned goods) to church between now and Sunday, Feb. 7 for the Souper Bowl of Caring collection. According to church legend, one year LFUMC collected 1000 cans for our local food pantry, housed at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church on Tulip St.! Let’s see how many cans we can collect this year. A table with collection boxes underneath is located in the hallway between the Church Office and Memorial Lounge.

During the week of the February break, the Erwin church puts on a day program for children in the community who may be home alone during the week, called “Safe Space”. We have been asked to provide the lunch on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at noon for 30 children. It does not need to be a fancy spread or elaborate meal, just substantial for children whose lunch may be their only meal. If you would like to serve on a team to provide this lunch, please contact the church office at 457‑5180 or lfumc@liverpoolfirstumc.org.

Fruit Drive

We also want to provide fruit as the snack for the Safe Space Program. The fruits desired are apples, bananas, oranges and grapes. Please bring a donation of fruit to the church on Sunday, February. 14.
