GREETING

What was the first miracle Jesus accomplished in your life?

Where do you feel empty and look for Christ to fill the space?

What signs has God used lately to draw you closer to Christ?

How can Jesus restore your sense of celebration?

PRELUDE      Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern BuxWV 223 — Dietrich Buxtehude

CHORAL  INTROIT           Sing to the Lord a New Song (Psalm 90) — Randy Edwards

CALL TO WORSHIP (responsively)

One:     Come, join together as members of the faith community.

All:       We celebrate the presence of persons from different backgrounds in     God’s family.

One:     Come, join in worship with Christians from all times and places.

All:       We celebrate the traditions of prayer, praise and joyful worship.

One:     Come, join in service with those who put faith into practice at home, school,     and workplace.

All:       We celebrate the inspiration of Scripture, listening for it’s prophetic     message, ready to be challenged by Jesus to be God’s love with our

      neighbors in all places.

 OUR COMMON PRAYER (unison)

All loving God, you are closer than the breath within us. You know us better than our best friend. You care for us more deeply than our closest family member. You desire for us to be utterly faithful. So, when confidence deserts us, when energy to do good leaves us, when passion for forgiveness and justice cannot be found

within us, renew us by the power of your Holy Spirit, that we may be signs of your glory, like water turned into wine. Amen.
