Light a light to support mission work at Red Bird
Would you like to honor or remember a loved one this Christmas? Help light the church bell gazebo with Love Lights. An offering of any amount may be placed in envelopes marked Love Lights that are located in the sanctuary pew racks, and placed in the offering plate. Contributions support the April 2016 church mission team work trip to Red Bird Mission in Kentucky.

The Outreach and Missions Commission is hosting bus rides through Lights on the Lake on Monday evenings, now through Jan. 4, at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy hot chocolate in Fellowship Hall too. The ride is no charge, however a donation is accepted for the ride or for gas money. Sign up in Fellowship Hall. Imagine no Malaria
In September the Discovery Zone kids made hands for adoption by prayer partners. We still have some children waiting for a prayer partner. After service today, stop in the fellowship hall and choose a hand of one of our children. All we ask is that you commit to pray for that child for the rest of the school year. There is power in prayer!
Hazel Street Mission House interior demolition, Dec. 12
Help tear out sheet rock walls and ceilings at the Hazel Street Mission House on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon. Call the church at 457‑5180 or e‑mail Pastor B at email@example.com to help. If you can bring tools and work gloves, that will help. The church will provide masks and goggles, and snacks.

Gifts for Baby Jesus
During Advent and Christmas, the UMW collects items for the Teen MOPS participants who meet in our building. They need diapers, baby wipes, gas cards and toiletries for the young mothers and their children. A bin will be in the foyer for you to drop off donations.
Pick up a devotional from the Society of St. Andrew
How are you doing with your Advent spiritual discipline? Are you using the daily readings, reflections, and prayers in My Soul Magnifies the Lord? This week, focus on making Jesus known through your words and actions — in your school, neighborhood, or community. Look in the faces of those you encounter this week, knowing that many of our brothers and sisters face difficult circumstances beyond our understanding. As people of faith, we cannot solve every problem, but we can always act with compassion. Please remember to give, as you are able, using the Society of St. Andrew coin box you received with your Advent devotional booklet. We will receive those gifts on Epiphany Sunday, Jan. 3.
