Next Sun­day, Nov 29, we will cel­e­brate Holy Com­mu­nion in our wor­ship ser­vices. Could you help deliv­er com­mu­nion to our mem­bers at home or in a long term care facil­i­ty? Sign up in the Fel­low­ship Hall if you can assist. And, please be sure to sign the cards that will be deliv­ered to our house­bound mem­bers.

All women invit­ed to Olive­branch tomor­row

Olive­branch, a group of Liv­er­pool First women, meets Nov. 23 at 5:30 p.m. for appe­tiz­ers, then din­ner at 6 p.m. fol­lowed by the pro­gram at 7 p.m. Colleen Bland, com­mu­ni­ty busi­ness devel­op­ment man­ag­er at Barnes and Noble, will present “Curl up With a Good Book”. Dis­cov­er new fic­tion and non­fic­tion best reads for win­ter time or gift giv­ing and tips on new tech­nol­o­gy for read­ing. Exam­ples will be for sale. The cost is $5 for the catered din­ner.  Can­dle­light remem­brance ser­vice 

               Dec. 4 at 7 p.m.

You and your fam­i­ly and friends are invit­ed to par­tic­i­pate in this time of remem­ber­ing loved ones who have passed away, and thank­ing God for the gift of their lives. This annu­al ser­vice is spon­sored by Mauer Funer­al Home and the Liv­er­pool Cler­gy Asso­ci­a­tion. Liv­er­pool First UMC is the host this year, and we need cook­ies for a recep­tion fol­low­ing the ser­vice. Please sign up in Fel­low­ship Hall if you can assist.

Sup­port fos­ter chil­dren through Project Christi­na

“Project Christi­na” sup­ports the Ononda­ga Coun­ty Social Ser­vices Fos­ter Care Agency by pro­vid­ing stuffed toys and reusable shop­ping bags to chil­dren who must be removed from their homes. Con­sid­er pur­chas­ing a $5 stuffed ani­mal from the Kohl’s Care for Kids pro­gram. Social Ser­vices also needs dia­pers, paci­fi­cers & bot­tles. Dona­tions may be left in the Project Christi­na box in Fel­low­ship Hall.  For those who con­tribute, there is a thank you let­ter from Social Ser­vices that can be used for tax pur­pos­es.

We need vol­un­teers to become a part of the children’s min­istry. Vol­un­teer month­ly, week­ly or occa­sion­al­ly. Every minute you give mat­ters to a child! Excit­ing changes are tak­ing place in Dis­cov­ery Zone, from new cur­ricu­lum and new faces to the prepa­ra­tion of a new infant nurs­ery!

New hear­ing enhance­ment devices were giv­en in lov­ing mem­o­ry of War­ren Tilden by his fam­i­ly and friends. If you haven’t had a chance to try one, ask an ush­er to assist you in find­ing the best one to make your wor­ship expe­ri­ence one you can enjoy more ful­ly.

Light a Love Light 

to sup­port mis­sion work at Red Bird

Would you like to hon­or or remem­ber a loved one this Christ­mas? Help light the church bell gaze­bo with Love Lights. An offer­ing of any amount may be placed in the envelopes marked Love Lights that are locat­ed in the sanc­tu­ary pew racks, and placed in the Sun­day offer­ing plate any Sun­day from Nov. 29 to Jan. 3. Con­tri­bu­tions sup­port the April 2016 church mis­sion team work trip to Red Bird Mis­sion in Ken­tucky.

LIFE Youth Min­istry

L.I.F.E. (Live In Faith Every­day), Liv­er­pool’s min­istry with stu­dents in grades 6 — 12, meets most Fri­days at 6:30 p.m. for wor­ship, fol­lowed by games, plan­ning, and food. For infor­ma­tion con­tact Pas­tor B at 457‑5180.  Bot­tle Col­lec­tion — Drop off return­able bot­tles and cans at church to sup­port the youth min­istry, or bring them to MSK Bot­tle Return on Rt. 57 near Wet­zel Rd. for the Liv­er­pool Methodist Youth account.

Red Bird Mis­sion Trip 2016

Will you join the April 23–30, 2016 Ser­vice Trip to Red Bird Mis­sion in Ken­tucky? The Dec. 1 dead­line is fast approach­ing! The cost per per­son is approx­i­mate­ly $550 for the week long trip. This includes trans­porta­tion, meals, lodg­ing, and all mate­ri­als. A non­re­fund­able $75 deposit will secure your space on the bus. After Dec. 1, the deposit required will be $100 per per­son. Wor­ship 7 p.m. Wednes­days in Decem­ber

Take a break for mid­week wor­ship on Wednes­day evenings begin­ning Dec. 2.  In con­trast with the Christ­mas music play­ing in shop­ping cen­ters, Bill Young will play Advent hymns on the organ. In con­trast with the con­sumer grat­i­fi­ca­tion lan­guage of our con­sumer cul­ture, the Ser­vice of Word and Table IV will be used for the com­mu­nion litur­gy. To par­tic­i­pate as a greeter, can­dle-lighter, or read­er, please con­tact the church office (457‑5180).
