CONGREGATIONAL INTROIT No. 349     Turn Your Eyes upon Jesus

GREETING AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

CALL TO WORSHIP (responsively)

One:At the dawn of a new day, the God of hope is with us:

All:     Filling us with hope, giving us a clearer vision of the way to be taken.

One:In the heat of the day, the God of hope is with us:

All: Strengthening us in the struggle and encouraging us when the way ahead is rough.

One: In the cool of the evening, God is with us:

All: Calling us to thanksgiving, enabling us to reflect on our experiences along the way.

One:In this time of worship, God is with us:

All: Inviting us to follow Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life — the hope of the world.

*HYMN No. 368                 My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less

We praise you, O God, for as you stayed with Jesus on the road to the cross, you stay with us even in our most difficult moments. In you we find the source of hope when we are discouraged, the source of community when we feel abandoned, the source of faith when doubt overpowers us, the source of inspiration when life is colorless and drab, the source of eternity when the weight of years bears down on us, the source of peace when uncertainty is all around us. You have promised your Holy Spirit to be with us always, our source of hope until the end of time itself. Open our hearts to your holy Presence among us in this time of worship.
