GREETING AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

CONGREGATIONAL INTROIT No. 349     Turn Your Eyes upon Jesus

CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 103:1–5

One:O my soul, bless God. From head to toe, bless God’s holy name!

All: With all that is within me I will bless the Lord. I will not forget a single

blessing he has brought to my life! He has forgiven my sin, every one. He has brought healing to my brokenness. He has brought me out and brought me through the darkest moments of my life, from the very pits of hell itself. He crowns my every day with love and mercy.

One:   He wraps you in goodness when we worship and follow Him. Life will never  wear us out, He renews our youthfulness. So, praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise God’s holy name.

All: Praise the Lord, O my soul, with all that is within me I will bless the Lord. I will not forget a single blessing he has brought to my life!

CONFESSION (Unison)

O God, there is no way that we are worthy now or ever will be of the great gift of grace you offer to us. We know our sin, even our lack of passion over the great gift of forgiveness and new life you offer us. Our senses are dulled and we are insensitive to the cost to You in providing our way of redemption. In our ingratitude we have received the gifts you offer and have been resentful and resisted the suggestion of sacrifice of love for others that faith should prompt in us. We have sung the words of Your praise in worship, but are slow to shout them aloud in the light of day for others living in darkness to hear. Bother us until we are broken. Remove from us our blindness, stoke a fire of passion for You and others. May we find in this offering of bread and wine a new start we ask in Your Son’s name, Jesus, our Forgiver and Leader. Amen!

SHARING AT THE TABLE
