PRELUDE Cantilene (Sonate XI d‑moll op 148) — Josef Rheinberger
GREETING AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
CONGREGATIONAL INTROIT No. 2150 (FWS vs. 1–2) Lord, Be Glorified
CALL TO WORSHIP (responsively)
One: Come, sing for joy to the Lord; shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
ALL: God is our mighty Rock, our Deliverance, our Refuge.
One: God’s people did not expire from thirst in the desert; for the Lord made water flow from a rock,
ALL: when Moses struck the rock, water gushed out, and streams flowed abundantly.
ONE: This water is our baptism; a sign that the Lord can and will provide all that we need!
ALL: God has laid a stone, faith in Christ: this stone that the builders rejected has become our Cornerstone.
One: Jesus promised that those who hear his words and put them into practice build their homes on the rock. When the storms of life rise, they stand firm.
All: We have set our feet on the rock of faith; the Lord has given us a firm place to stand. God has put a new song in in our hearts and in our
mouths, a hymn of praise to God.

CELEBRATION OF BAPTISM (9:30)
Mackenzie Ruth Woods born Jan. 20, 2015 to Anthony & Stephanie Woods
CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE (unison)
God of all grace, you have sought us in every moment of our lives, called us from our mother’s wombs, and claimed us as your own in the waters of baptism. You have rescued us from pits of danger and despair, and set our feet upon the rock of your care. We have witnessed the blessing of companionship with you in this life, and anticipate greater things you have planned for us through eternity. As we participate in the sacrament of baptism this morning, cause us to recall your claim upon us and the joy of your hand on our lives. Thank you for the blessings of these parents and their child as they enter into covenant with you and with us this day in Jesus’ name, Amen!
