The children will present a Drama Camp Christmas Pageant in July at 11:00 a.m. worship July 26. There will be a traditional 8 a.m. service; no 9:30 a.m. service on July 26.

Weird Animals Vacation Bible School
Every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. children learn about God in VBS style! Invite friends for music, games, and science.
Campership Funds need boosting
Please donate to our “Campership” fund to help send our youth to camp. Camp is a place where lives are changed and kids meet Christ! Last year, Casowasco recognized LFUMC for being one of the top ten churches sending youth to Casowasco during the 2014 summer camp season. Let’s try to meet that goal once again.

A free lunch is served to anyone 18 or younger Monday — Friday 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Liverpool Elementary Cafeteria or BOCES on Crown Rd.
Celebrate the Ministry of Sara Bailey — July 26
At the Church Picnic in Johnson Park on July 26, we will celebrate the ministry of Sara Bailey, our Christian Education Director. Sara will be leaving her position at the church for an Art Teacher position at East Syracuse Elementary. We will miss Sara’s creativity and joyful leadership, but we rejoice with her that she has found full-time employment in her field. Plan to attend the picnic July 26. Bring a dish to pass and a card or note to tell Sara what you have appreciated about her ministry.
Johnson Park Concert sign up sheet
The sign up sheet to sell popcorn for the concerts in the park has been misplaced so if you signed up for a date please sign up again with your phone number and date you can do it. We also need someone to contact the person who signed up for July 27 concert in case of rain and pick up spare All of Us and take them to the concert.
Church Membership Class
You are invited to participate in a Church Membership Class at 11 a.m today. How does one become a member of a United Methodist Church? The class is open to anyone: visitors, persons considering membership, and current church members. An opportunity to take membership vows will occur at the 11 a.m. Worship Service on July 26. We will greet new members at the church picnic in Johnson Park, across Oswego St. from the Purple Doors. Contact the church office at 457‑5180 for information.
Worship in The Park — Friday evenings
Every Friday throughout the summer, Liverpool First will host an informal worship service in Johnson Park from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Worship will include singing, the reading of the Word, and witness to the Scripture as well as personal witnesses from our members. Your family is welcome to join. Bring a lawn chair and look for the banner and cross.
There will be Quilting classes for anyone interested beginning the first Tuesday in August and continuing for the month of August.

Advanced Lay Servant Course
The Advanced Lay Servant Course, How to Construct an Effective Sermon, will be offered at Fayetteville United Methodist Church, 601 East Genesee St., Fayetteville, from 7 to 9 p.m., on Wednesdays, Sept. 2 — 30. Attendance on all dates is required for credit. The instructor will be Rev. Dr. Russell Hall. 5 Cents Makes a Difference!
As you pick up from summer picnics and parties, don’t forget that you can bring your 5 cent returnable bottles and cans to either the church or MSK Returns on Rt. 57 near Wetzel Rd. Our church has an account there, and all monies earned go directly to support our youth programs. To date this has earned over $200.00.
All returns must be clean and without bottle caps. Thanks!

Do you want to enjoy the outdoors, get exercise, and meet and worship with sisters and brothers from other UM Churches? Bring your bicycle to the Brewerton United Methodist Church every Tuesday for a recreational bike ride of 10 to 12 miles. Different routes every week. Start at 5:30 p.m. with devotions and prayer. More challenging rides at a faster pace and distance of 35 miles leave from the parking lot of North Syracuse Believer’s Chapel every Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
Support people in need
The church maintains a Pastors Discretionary Fund Crisis Care account to help people facing financial difficulties. Donations by cash or check are always welcome; please note on your offering envelope or check that it is for the “Pastors Discretion — Crisis Care.” Also, gift cards to Aldi, Nichols, Wegmans or other grocery stores, as well as gas cards and bus passes, are accepted. These may be placed in the offertory plate or brought to the church office. Thank you.

Spaghetti Warehouse Dinner Theater — Oct. 15: Acme Mystery Company. Menu: chicken parmigiana, spaghetti feast lasagne, chicken alfredo, or eggplant parmigiana. Arrive at 6:30 p.m. at 689 North Clinton St. The show is from 7 to 10 p.m. $25 per person. LFUMC Couples and Singles Club will join us. Reservations and payment will be accepted in August.

Acclaimed Boston soprano Jean Danton will present a concert on July 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Willard Chapel in Auburn. Danton has performed throughout the United States and Europe. Thanks for prayers
Vanessa Greene-Eberhardt and husband, Chuck Eberhardt, sincerely thank all those who prayed for their son, Christian John Eberhardt, who suffered with streptococcus at birth. Christian was released from the hospital after 12 days, and is doing great! There is power in prayer! Humbled and grateful grandparents are Doug and Donna Greene.
