CALL TO WORSHIP

One:   Come, worship the One who has been our help from ages past.

All:     We delight in the Lord who guides us still.

One:   Praise the One who is our hope for years to come.

All:     Let us celebrate the triumph of God’s amazing grace.

OPENING PRAYER

Thank you, Lord, for your unconditional love even when we fail to be faithful followers.  Even as we gather today to worship, we know injustice rains down on many of your people.  Disturb us, so that we may act justly. Even as we celebrate the joy of welcoming persons into our congregation, we know many suffer needlessly. Use us, Lord, as your hands of mercy as we move through this life, and teach us to walk humbly with you, amen.
