CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 19:7–11 and the chorus to Hymn No. 601)

One:   The law of the Lord is perfect; it provides strength for living daily. The laws of the Lord can be trusted, everyone can find wisdom through them.

ALL: (sung)  Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path!

One:   The directions of the Lord are right; following them leads us to joy. Respect for The Lord’s guidance leads to integrity which is of lasting value.

ALL: (sung)  Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path!

One:   The directions the Lord gives are true; they will not steer us wrong. They are more priceless than gold, educational degrees, position or status or any other thing we might value in this world. When we heed them, our lives are greatly blessed.

ALL: (sung)  Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path!

How is the Bible Inspired? Are there limits to it’s reliability?

What is the difference between the inspiration of the Bible and that we find in         music, art or literature?

What makes you trust the Bible as the Word of God?
