It is time to go soup shopping! Feb. 1 is Super Bowl Sunday but more important it is our chance to fill the food pantry shelves with soup! Last year we gave them 1312 cans. Now for the challenge; if you brought one can last year, please bring two cans this year.
The pantry serves many households, and the number of people seeking help increases every month. When you buy soup, please take time to see how much protein is in the can. If it is under seven grams, it is considered a miscellaneous food item instead of a protein.
Food may be dropped off in the food collection bins in the main corridor of the church.Thank you for helping to feed our Lord’s sheep.
Cash, checks also appreciated
The Food Pantry also welcomes donations of cash or check, as they can purchase food at discounted prices. Checks may be written to St. Joseph the Worker Food Pantry, and placed in the offering plate on Sunday or brought to the office on weekdays.
