Bring two cans of soup (one should be non-cream variety), one for the food pantry, and one to share. We will eat dinner, and learn about and share holy communion together, in the space of about an hour. Meets Feb. 19, 26, March 5, 12, and 19, at 6:30 p.m.

Joyful Noise Concert

Jonathan English will perform “American Songbook,” a variety of classical, musical theater, and jazz selections on Feb. 17. Mr. English made an appearance in the first year of the series with his popular “Life of a Tenor” program, which was a musical and emotional treat. Sabine Krantz will accompany him on the Steinway. The concerts are free, with an invitation to donate toward an honorarium for each artist.  The performance venue offers audience members a chance to be close to the musicians and to enjoy informal interaction with the performers.  Come casual; bring neighbors and friends.

“The Life and Times of Jesus” Lent Program

Our Sunday School Lent program begins Feb. 17 and runs through Palm Sunday and your kids will not want to miss it! It will be fun and fantastic, funny and silly, serious and joyous, loud and quiet, and AWESOME! We will walk through the story of Jesus in a way that has never been experienced here before. Come on down and check it out!

Liverpool First scores big on “Souper” Bowl Sunday

Thank you, thank you, thank you to Liverpool First Church family who responded so generously to Rev. Bouwens’ challenge.  We were able to deliver 1,017 cans of soup to the St. Joseph’s the Worker Food Pantry and they were extremely grateful.  Thanks again, The Membership and Congregational Care Commission

Many thanks to the 150 people who turned out on a bitter cold night for a delicious Chicken and Biscuits Dinner last Saturday.  We took a chance scheduling on a Saturday, but a record 62 volunteers turned out to bake, set up, prep, cook, serve, and clean up.  We couldn’t have done it without you!  Together we raised $700 toward funding church programs.

Save coupons for our soldiers

In conjunction with the Liverpool American Legion we collect coupons for families at Fort Drum. They can be up to three months old: divide by pets, baby items, beauty/health, food, and cleaning/household supplies. Place them on the table in the main corridor.
