Advent Celebration Today
The Evangelism and Member Care Commission, along with Christian Education and Outreach and Missions, have planned an afternoon everyone can enjoy. Beginning at 2 p.m., there will be crafts for the children (some to take home and some for the tree in Fellowship Hall). Then it’s a covered dish at 3 p.m. (dessert, table service and beverages provided). To round out the afternoon, we’ll gather around the tree for a carol sing at 4 p.m. and conclude by going outside to light the Liverpool First love lights. Come for the entire time, or just join us for the covered dish and carols.
Christmas Eve Ushers Needed
Many ushers are needed to assist worshippers at the 7, 9 and 11 p.m. Christmas Eve services. If you would like to help at one (or more) of the services, please sign up on the bulletin board in Fellowship Hall.
Christmas Eve Family Service – at 5 p.m.
This service is family oriented and all children are welcome to participate. Please sign up on the bulletin board downstairs or in Fellowship Hall if your family plans to attend. The service will walk us through the nativity story as children act out the scene in costume. No lines or parts will need to be memorized. It will be a simple, fun, and worship filled service. There is a brief rehearsal after Sunday School on Dec. 23. Families will meet downstairs in the Sunday School gathering space at 10:45 a.m. We would love for you to be at rehearsal but if you cannot attend, we have plenty of costumes for everyone and your child can still be a part of the service on Christmas Eve!
Olivebranch will meet December 17 at 5:30 p.m. To make a dinner reservation call Marty Davis 451-5563. Bring a Christmas memory for show and tell.

Giving Tree 2012
All of the ornaments on our Giving Tree were handed out last week so thank you all for the support! If you took an ornament in order to donate a gift, please return the gift by December 16th at the latest. We will deliver them on Monday the 17th. Our LIFE program will help wrap them and our Sunday School kids will be making cards and stockings to go with them as we learn about spreading joy, love, hope and peace during Advent! Any questions please call Janet at 243-4177. Sponsored by Christian Education Ministry.
Gifts for Baby Jesus
The UMW will be collecting baby items for infants and children up to age 2 to be donated to the New Life Crisis Pregnancy Center of Mexico, NY. A box labeled, GIFTS FOR BABY JESUS, will be in the foyer where you can find a list of needed items and where your donated items may be placed. This project will extend throughout the Christmas season concluding on Christmas Eve. Thank you for your support.
The Outreach Commission is sponsoring the Love Lights program again this year, with funds received going to the Food Bank of Central New York. Please use the special envelopes found in the pews for your donations. The need is even greater this year as people who are closer to us than usual are in need of resources after the “Sandy” disaster in the NYC area. Please give generously so we can help in feeding the unfortunate victims in their need.
