Announcements for December 2

Gifts for Baby Jesus

The UMW will be collecting baby items for infants and children up to age 2 to be donated to the New Life Crisis Pregnancy Center of Mexico, NY. A box labeled, GIFTS FOR BABY JESUS, will be in the foyer where you can find a list of needed items and where your donated items may be placed. This project will extend throughout the Christmas season concluding on Christmas Eve. Thank you for your support.

Love Lights

The Outreach Commission is sponsoring the Love Lights program again this year, with funds received going to the Food Bank of Central New York.  Please use the special envelopes found in the pews for your donations.  The need is even greater this year as people who are closer to us than usual are in need of resources after the “Sandy” disaster in the NYC area.  Please give generously so we can help in feeding the unfortunate victims  in their need.

Advent Celebration here next Sunday, Dec. 9th

The Evangelism and Member Care Commission, Christian Ed and Outreach are planning a special afternoon for everyone.  We’ll begin at 2 p.m. with crafts for the children (some to take home and some for the tree in Fellowship Hall).  Then it’s a covered dish at 3 p.m. (dessert, table service and beverages provided).  To round out the afternoon, we’ll gather around the tree for a carol sing and finally go outside to light the Liverpool First love lights.  We’d love everyone to come for the entire afternoon, but feel free to come for any part of the activities.  Plan to join your Liverpool First friends here next Sunday afternoon.

Christmas Eve Family Service – 5 p.m.

This service is family oriented and all children are welcome to participate. Please sign up on the bulletin board downstairs or in Fellowship Hall if your family plans to attend. The service will walk us through the nativity story as children act out the scene in costume. No lines or parts will need to be memorized. It will be a simple, fun, and worship filled service. There is a brief rehearsal after Sunday School on Dec. 23. Families will meet downstairs in the Sunday School gathering space at 10:45 a.m. We would love for you to be at rehearsal but if you cannot attend, we have plenty of costumes for everyone and your child can still be a part of the service on Christmas Eve!
